Southern dialect

One friend to another over lunch: "Did you see that sweet little mauve dress Scarlett wore to the wedding last weekend, bless her heart."

A fellow Southerner doesn't need to see the dress in question to know these ladies think it's absolutely horrific.

  1. For y'all Yankees, any time a Southern says, "bless her/his heart," that means we think you are either clueless or a moron. Or, you are married to, child of, sibling of, or are somehow related to a moron or someone who is a down right fool. We Southerns tend to mask our insults so as not to be too rude.

    Missing the South!
