Perfect Christmas Sweet

If you are looking to make the perfect Christmas sweet that is both delicious and easy, then look no further. Our wonderful neighbors in Italy gave us a plate of these last Christmas. They were unbelievable and looked so complicated. She was kind enough to share the recipe with me and now I want to pass it along. The only thing that is tricky is that you have to use almond bark (it looks like a big bar of chocolate) and they sell them at Super-Walmarts. I actually ordered it online at a food shop because I had to make them this year and couldn't find it up here. I've already made two batches and given out the recipe several times this Christmas season. I am telling you, these are major crowd pleasers.
Crunchy Peanut Butter Balls
1 cup peanut butter
1 jar marshmellow cream
1 1/2 cup rice krispies cereal
1 1/2 cup melted almond bark (half of a bag)
In a large bowl, combine peanut butter and marshmellow cream. Add cereal and stir until well blended. In a microwave safe bowl, break up bark and microwave for 90 seconds. Stir and microwave another 15 seconds until melted. Stir until smooth. Roll cereal mixture into 1-inch balls and use a spoon and dip them in almond bark. Place on cookie sheet and refrigerate until set.

  1. Hummmm.....my mom makes these every Christmas as well, only the recipe doesn't include the marshmellow cream. I will have to tell her about that added goodness!
